Our first event for Fit Collective NYC did not disappoint. Thrown by Montreal based activewear clothing brand Lole, the Lole White Tour arrived in our own backyard on Wednesday, September 2nd on The Great Lawn in Central Park. Past cities include Paris, Montreal and Toronto and upcoming cities include Santa Monica, CA.
When Erin and I arrived, we received a sneak peek of the Fall 2015 Lole White Collection which we loved. We instantly gravitated to the criss-cross V backed tops with a hint of glimmer, and the tie bottom pants. Tres chic to say the least.
Now onto the main event! The yoga class was given my one of our fave NYC based instructors, Elena Brower, along with superstar yogis Rodney Yee and Colleen Saidman Yee. We found our Lole mats right up front along with our Fiji water (sponsors of the event).
We were overwhelmed at how beautiful everything looked and the huge turnout. NYC is always in need of a little zen, right?
The sweet sounds of Ingrid Michaelson and Donna De Lory began to play which made it all more special. As we started to flow through postures, stress started to melt away as we honored both ourselves and our togetherness. In this fast paced world and city, it's easy to forget to #bewhereyouare and stay present. Themes of the class included questioning 'What robs you of your peace?' How can we drop our armour to find love, service and peace.
Here we are finding our much needed zen moments.
Overall, this was a classy event. We appreciated the yoga assistants as well helping us dive deeper into each posture.
It truly was a beautiful night. That's why we love NYC.
